Drug trafficking is continuous all-around Europe. In the Republic of Moldova, the criminals are using the country as a transit to the EU. To fight against this kind of phenomena, EUBAM experts organized in May three training events for 50 Moldovan Customs Officers with the help of experts from Germany.

The officers from the Customs Service of the Republic of Moldova learned how to recognize different types of drugs and their affection on the person, indicators for possible drug smuggling and how to use drug wipe tests. Furthermore, the experts presented current case studies on drug smuggling in different ways and routes.
