In early October 2025, EUBAM, with the support of the International Organization for Migration (IOM) Ukraine, has donated five modern mini-excavators to the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine as part of its ongoing technical assistance at Ukraine-Moldova border.

The donation reflects EUBAM’s continued commitment to supporting the modernization and resilience of its partner services. The excavators will enhance the State Border Guard’s capacity to maintain and improve border infrastructure, facilitate engineering works, and ensure effective response to operational needs along Ukraine-Moldova state border.

Each of the five motorized full-swivel excavators is equipped with a comprehensive set of attachments to ensure versatile use in the field.

This initiative forms part of the European Union’s broader efforts to assist Ukrainian authorities in maintaining secure and resilient borders.
