The European Union continued its response to the #coronavirus pandemic and provided support to the Eastern Partnership countries. To that end, the European Union Border Assistance Mission to Moldova and Ukraine (EUBAM) delivered to the Border Police of the Republic of Moldova and the Southern Regional Directorate of Ukrainian State Border Guard Service 4,500 respirators (type FFP2) and face protective shields and 1,2 tons of antiseptic. Both the personal protective equipment and the antispetic aimed at reduction of coronavirus spread by keeping the border police\border guard offcers from the first line safer. Moreover, against the same background, EUBAM provided its partener services with 72 digital thermometers for instant fever detection of the travelers crossing the border.
