Cleaner Field Office Podilsk Head of Field Office Podilsk

General Functions: Under the guidance and direct supervision of the Head of Field Office Podilsk the incumbent contributes to a smooth operation of Field Office Podilsk, Ukraine. The employee maintains cleanliness and order in the assigned function area/room on Field Office Podilsk premises through a range of actions, including cleaning and housekeeping.
Specific Functions:
- Perform cleaning functions as required, including washing, sweeping, mopping, dusting, vacuum-cleaning and polishing;
- Clean surfaces, including floors, furniture, wall, doors, windows, carpets, etc.;
- Empty and clean waste-paper baskets and shredders;
- Keep offices, corridors, and toilets clean and sanitized;
- Maintain and clean all cleaning equipment utilized;
- Inspect the scheduled function area/room for cleanliness, working condition and proper furniture/equipment set up; report work orders for maintenance repairs or other deficiencies to the supervisor;
- Perform office premises preparations for the changes of year seasons;
- Maintain a minimum stock of cleaning/kitchen/bathroom materials and timely submits requests for replenishment of cleaning materials and consumables;
- Perform other duties as required by the Head of Field Office Podilsk.
Recruitment Qualifications:
- Secondary school diploma or equivalent;
- Two (2) years’ work experience as a cleaner (recommendations required);
- Ability to operate office cleaning equipment, use detergents and other cleaning chemicals;
- Experience of work for international organizations is an asset;
- Catering experience is an asset;
- Fluency in Ukrainian and Russian; knowledge of elementary English is an asset

Where we work?
The Mission is headquartered in Odesa, Ukraine and in addition, has two country offices (Chisinau, Moldova and Odesa, Ukraine) and key working locations on the border.
The Moldovan-Ukrainian state border is 1222 km long, of which 955 km is the “green” (land) border, and 267 km is the “blue” (river) border.
There are over 60 official crossing points on the Moldovan-Ukrainian border, including international, interstate and local ones, part of which are located on the Administrative Line.
The length of the Administrative Line between the two banks of the river Nistru is 411 km. There are 10 Internal Customs Control Posts, where representatives of the Customs Service of the Republic of Moldova work with the Ministry of Internal Affairs representatives.
